Vanessa Tapia: Site Lead for Recruiting at Twitter
Vanessa Tapia is a Dallas native and has been in the technical HR industry for the last 8 years. Vanessa started at IBM, working in coordination and recruiting, and went on to work at Google and now Twitter. She’s been at Twitter for the past four years and now manages sourcing for all of Consumer Eng, Product, Design and Research at Twitter and serves as the Site-Lead for Twitter Boulder Recruiting.
Natalya Reznik: Senior Engineer at Uber
Natalya is originally from Russia. She received her MS degree in Computer Science from the University of Colorado in Boulder in 2003. After that she worked at a number of major computer companies (Sun, Compaq/HP, EMC) and spent about a year and a half working for a storage startup (Formation Data Systems) before coming to Uber. Most of Natalya’s experience is in backend software development in Java and C/C++. Natalya has been at Uber for almost two years as a senior software engineer working on the MapCARS team (where CAR stands for Collection And Reporting).
Jessica Wong: Senior Program Manager at Twilio
Jessica Wong is a Senior Program Manager at Twilio who works with Engineering teams building communication solutions. She has over 10 years of experience working at tech startups in Product and Project management roles. She is passionate about Agile and building successful and happy teams.
Rebecca Krone: Engineering Manager
Rebecca’s career in software engineering has concentrated on delivering quality products which are heavily dependent on the people building it. Rebecca has worked for a variety of companies as an engineer, technical project manager, team lead, and engineering manager. She received a degree in information and decision systems from Carnegie Mellon University and spend 13 years living and working in Germany. Rebecca loves the outdoors and learning new languages.
Lindsey Thrift: Product at Pivotal Labs
Lindsey is a strategic, innovative, and highly driven product leader. Particularly keen on working on tech-enabled, mission driven businesses, she believes technology offers opportunity and accessibility, but that the best tech is built by thriving teams. Her early career path seemingly wandered from social services through economic development and ultimately landed in the tech space where her skills and passions have come together to make her a dynamic strategy leader. Today she works for Pivotal Labs where she spends her days consulting teams of all sizes and industries to be high performing and build products users find reliable and enjoyable. When she’s not “doing her day job”, you can find her advising start-ups, getting creative in the kitchen, putting some sweat equity into my fixer upper with her husband, or adventuring in the mountains.
